Hartwich Building

The 60s era facade masked the entry and interior stair, giving nothing to the urban fabric of the Greenwood commercial district. Having recently purchased this building, the owners were enthused to bring life to street level and have retail storefront real estate available.

We were asked to help convert the single use office building to a mix of retail and lease office space upstairs. Almost 5ft of unused space between the north wall and neighboring building offered the perfect opportunity. The interior sky-lit stair now climbs along that north wall, maximizing the ground floor for retail, and the second floor for office.
